I think UGA has a great chance too. They're closest to us in avg rating per player and have a legitimate shot at three or four five stars still on the board.

The exposure of finishing number #1 on espn is worth more than finishing number one on the other sites.

FWIW ESPN touting it as one of the best ever.....
And remember, it's ESPN who will mention this over a live broadcast all day. We will sign 20+ top 300 ESPN recruits. That would be the most ever.

ESPN hates LSU

I think that's the thing here. Having the top ranked class is great but it doesn't matter if you're not shoring up depth. Which they've dove pretty well minus qb but i think we're ok on that front until next year even if we don't get Scott.

I would love to have Scott but if you look at it Harris will have 2more years and Mcmillian the year after that but it would be nice to have one this year for a backup plan if Mcmillian doesn't pan out. But it sucks we don't have major depth there. But barring Harris has an atrocious year, which i don't see, we should be fine. Barring no injuries happen. Everything else is golden.

Jesus yall are negative. They will only maybe pass in rivals.

On 247 composite and 247 we are THIRTY points ahead. That's without Fulton, Mullen and whoever else we get.

They would have to sign every player they are in competition for. That will not happen

ESPN: we already have the record for most top ESPN 300. They can't catch up

Funny how every year we'd be ranked alot higher if you used the initial rankings of our commits. Every year. And Bama commits always rise towards end of year just enough to get #1

It's a photo finish on 247Composite. Bama closing w a great class and guys like Mique and Terrell Hall could do it. Anything at or over 300 is a crazy good class and both will have that.

LSU appears set to finish No. 1 on ESPN, and as much as I wish I could say otherwise, the espn rankings is all the TV and national media will be talking about. So that's good this time around..

The most media exposure we can get will be the only superficial benefit from this, and by adding just 1 more ESPN 300 kid we set a new record . Having the #1 class on ESPN and setting that record will be the best pub you can expect outta this. Now we simply develop these new savages and begin a run of dominance. On a side note, I am sure Tom Luginbill is ready to keep the gumps and buckeyes as close as possible and will most certainly poo poo our class a bit because of the lack of qb.

Top to bottom its hard to fathom a better class.

I know it's not the most respectable set of rankings but the ESPN ones are the one's that really carry the most weight. Simply because of the fact that they are the most prominent sports network. Therefore most publicity will come from gaining number one there. But the 247 one is the most legit one.

Who's to say Harris doesn't go down with an injury? Then what? LSU needs to sign a QB in every class. It's the best way to make sure you have a mature QB taking the wheel of your sports car.
