The anger of missing the playoffs must be long gone now.

What a great win for this program. I can remember when Catholic High would run-up the score on every one that they could; pay-back is great. I coached at Central and what a great community and I hope that they make it to the dome and win it all. Congrats!!!!!

I am a graduate of Central and still live right down the road from the Field at the Middle school where the games are played. What a great win and it wasn't even as close as the score indicates. It was 43 to 6 at half time I think. Go wildcats!!!

And Sid is a great coach and an even better person. He helped my out and was going to get the entire football team to help out when our house burned down a couple of years ago... and at that point I had never even met the man.

Word is Dale's out at Catholic after this season. Sid and Frank Fresina are returning to Catholic. I heard a lot of money is involved.

It's good to see Central kick some arse. In my mind, I always thought of Central High School as Istrouma High School. In other words, all the white people who lived in North Baton Rouge moved to Central. They always had great baseball players in Central but never a great football team.

I sure hope Sid doesn't leave. I know he has long term plans for Central in sports other than just football. I hope you just think he leaves because there is going to be an openning and not from any real inside word.

The reason for that is that for many years Central played 4A when we didn't actually have a 4A classification in number of students. And after kicking but at the middle school level fully half of the football team would attend Redemptorist further handicapping the team.
