VolTiger, I’ve got a pretty close connection with Pickens and his family but would love to hear your thoughts on him and anything you’ve heard about his visit/how the staff feels about him

Love him and would love to have him. From my understanding, the staff really wants him, but 1. Think he's more tied into Auburn than he lets on, and 2. The numbers are so tight right now they have to let a few more dominoes fall before they have a better view of how the class rounds out. If at all possible they'd love for him to be in it, but there's certain other needs they have to address in this class first. By all accounts he had a good time on the visit, and Mom would be comfortable with him being here.

Bama is pushing also. Hes the guy they want. Right now id say he more into Auburn than the visits show but i think hes gonna have a hard time turning Bama away if they "really push" at the end. They have a history of pulling too Auburn commits, particularly instate.
In other words, dont think we will the option of turning him away. As you said we dont have numbers anyway so push but dont count on him and dont forgo better targets because of him. Better as in more realistic.

Also, Ricks has always been high in us iirc. He visited after one of those camps with a group before i believe.

Good stuff man, thanks. There’s definitely a lot working in Auburn’s favor and his pops is drinking the Auburn kool-aid for sure, but I’m telling you he and his mom love LSU.
I remember how great of a time his mom had when we all went to the LSU bama game in 2010.
