Can anyone name relatively recent top recruits we've gotten from Bama?

I can only think of a handful and with the exception of Jamarcus Russell I can't think of any being the creme dela creme. I know there's Rivers and Kwon but as I recall Kwon got hurt the previous season to signing with LSU and Rivers wasn't that highly recruited. I'm obviously looking for Landon C., CRob type comparisons. I don't recall those types of defections from Alabama. Their players appear to be loyal to their home state.

This is correct. Between Bama, Auburn and Georgia who hits Bama hard there is not a whole bunch for us. Although the ones we have gotten have preformed pretty damn well. Bama as of right now is pretty much the only one that comes into Louisiana to pull recruits and we know why that is. Yes, Napoleon

LSU does just fine by recruiting this state. Bama is coming here to recruit. No need to recruit there.

Can you name a player from LA we lost to Alabama that made a significant contribution or that we sorely missed? I don't count Eddie Lacy because we never really went after him since we were already loaded at RB AND we didn't think he would qualify. He magically did though.

There is usually less D-1 talent in AL and they have 2 BCS in-state SEC schools going after these players. Then you have FSU going in there and grabbing a few. Jameis Winston did not live very far from Tuscaloosa. Why use the resources to recruit AL while we have TX and MS next door?

Interesting in that when I checked Bama's recruits last week, I only saw 3 or 4 actually from Alabama. Could this be a down year for talent in Alabama?

I do agree with the who has really done anything for Bama that came from Louisiana. I am talking about game changers. Yes Lacy would be about the only one but we did not recruit him hard and were loaded so that is a wash out. I guarentee that Bama players have preformed much better than vise verse.

We got Sidell Corley and Phelon Jones out of McGill-Toolen in Mobile a few years ago..but they both underachieved and left. Jones actually transferred to Bama.
