He was committed to ND a few years ago with Kelly. He got Michigan to the playoffs last year also

I look at the portal as filling immediate holes, and that ain't one with the QB room we have as of now.
Some solid RB, DL, CB, or WR's would be nice.

Besides, I don't even want to see the shite-show that would happen if we picked up someone like him and made him the starter...and he did okay, and then Howard and/or Nuss transfer and kill it wherever they go.

No. I watched him last year and the beginning of this year. You know how people say UGA's run game and defense took Stetson to the championship game last year, think of that on steroids with McNamara and Michigan. He was a face in the crowd at Michigan last year and was completely ineffective this year before the other kid got the job.
