Can we get a notification alarm when Vol posts? * No Sarcasm. I follow his posts more than anything else for recruiting.

The following will save you tons of time and no need to scroll thru every thread:
1) Go to either the Tiger Rant or LSU Recruiting boards.
2) Click on the search function.
3) Then click where it says "More Options".
4) Where it says "Search By Author" enter his handle "voltiger13".
5) Right above where it says "Search By Author" make sure it shows "Subject & Posts" and not just "Subject".

Then you will see his posts and you can choose to either "jump to his post" or "view the topic".

Try it. You'll like it for sure!

Seriously though, What did y’all expect when Nov 10th came around and Vol and anyone else who knows stuff reported about all the recruits calling coaching staff to find out about getting on this train.

I considered Bryant a candidate to be asked to look elsewhere, but I thought Clowney might be the one who didn't stick. Not much being reported about him and his commitment. Also thought Bryant's connection with Z. Evans might be important and keep him in the class. Guess not.

He was the lowest rated player at his position (WDE) behind Clowney and Ojulari. I didn't like the idea of him trying to bulk up and play with his hand in the dirt.

Wish the kid the best. He clearly wanted to be a Tiger like Jalen Lee.

Reading Tea Leaves Eric Taylor may be on the casualty list as well.

Also, I'm curious as to whether Kole Taylor may stick in this class now with TK McClendon moving to DE like Ray Parker. I figured he would be one asked to look around.

LSU will be down to Moss, Pettigrew, Moffitt, and Arik Gilbert without him. Not sure I can see Ensminger going into a season with only 4 TE's regardless of new scheme.

Yea well Stewie, he has us at 11-0, supporting a Heisman winner possibly, and the baddest team in the country right now so I'll let him take his chances..

Again, just wasnt the prospects I was expecting to lose. More so Jalen Lee because he seems pretty legit. I thought Bryant and Taylor were maybes but there are some in the class I expected to see leave before them.

Expect Clowney as well. It was around before and is coming back around.

Also, if we are trading lower guys for "elite" guys with position really having no bearing, there are a couple of qbs that arent elite in our class. Why isnt one of them being jettisoned? Not like theyre both gonna be around in 4 years anyway. Its all part of the process, right? Hard decisions and such.

I feel like im reading 247 experts explaining their reasoning why one guy is above another with an argument that they go completely against in a later discussion. Its called bullshite.

People around here will continue to panic every time someone decommits. They’ll all be ecstatic if we finish with the guys we are rumored to lead for.

Those three are all defensive guys. Really want to beef up the Dline this class. Hope we nail it

Why even sweat it? The coaches are the ones making the decisions. Indeed, they know astronomically far more about the players and the needs of the team than any of us could possibly know. Just let them handle it, keep your fingers crossed, and just sit back and watch how it all plays out.

Being all pissed off and crying about it isn't going to make any difference whatsoever.

LSUFANVA...tough day on the board it appears. I always enjoy your posts. Just remember this board is all in fun!

I agree that both LSU QB commits are projects. I have gone on record as saying I'm not particularly high on either due to lack of accuracy. It is obvious LSU wants 2 QB's in this class though, for depth if nothing else.

I know some are concerned about the trenches (as I am a big trenches guy as well), but the coaches obviously know the roster better than us (who may be going pro vs staying) and what kind of potential the young guys on the team have. As long as we have about 15 OLmen and about 10-11 down linemen on defense (NG, 3 tech, 5 tech slots) I'm good with it.

If LSU nabs who they are reported on here to nab, then an elite QB will be about the only thing missing from this class.

I’ve heard that Bill Johnson has significant input on which DL prospects they will focus on. I think you have to look at the 3-4 scheme fit when discussing the guys they parted with. Think of the Bosa types at DE.

At edge, there is no doubt Ojulari and Webb are the best fits for what Aranda wants. I’m not sure people realize how much Chaisson drops into coverage during games.

correct... they are going after huge nose tackle guys (guillory) ika last year... then you have the big DE's that can do both, be fast enough to rush the passer, but large and strong enough to take on OL and stuff the run... Its why tyson jackson went 4th/5th overall that one year... he could do both.. . kinda like logan this year... Logan and Jackson are earily similar in body types 6'3-6'4 285-300lbs... the Pass rusher is alot leaner and faster and fast enough to catch a RB out in the flats... like 6'3/6'4 240-250 ish... the staff prob doesnt feel like some of those DT's are 5 tec DE's in this defense because they arent fast enough to russ the passer...

That should tell you how highly the coaches think of the kids who will be taking up any open spots from here out.
