He'll redshirt imo

If we don't redshirt a true freshmen QB, with presumably 3 QB's that have been in the system for 1+ years, then he better be the next Manziel.

I know the kid is good and wants to play early, but it is in the best interest of the program to let him learn, and stagger eligibility.

Sorta like the trickery that almost was with Mett at receiver last week?

Cam should rip that page out of the playbook and burn it.

You forget about Rettig, brah?

Don't get me wrong, I love this place, but it is kind of funny how one day people talk about a kid being the savior, and then the next kid comes along and the others are all but forgotten.

Don't think his lack of knowledge of the system can keep him out that long. If he's better he'll play.

Plus he may ever make it here for spring

Well, it's up for grabs and apparently Rivers isn't even on Jenning's level despite being here longer. So yea, I could see that. I don't think he will take it from him though because what I saw of Jennings in the spring game made me think he didn't look like a freshman. He has two attributes that I don't believe you can coach despite what everybody says: accuracy and pocket awareness. I know you can improve accuracy a little but you either have it or you don't. Same with pocket awareness. I've never seen a QB who lacks consistent accuracy on his passes turn into a Drew Brees. They always keep some of that inconsistency. Jennings seems to anticipate routes well with his passes. The only bad passes I saw him throw in the spring game was chemistry issues with WRs.

And look what cam's done with Mett's mechanics. He overthrew everybody last year and had no pocket presence. This year very accurate and moving much better in the pocket. This Mett would have completed that pass to get the first down to beat Clemson.

I honestly hope Jennings starts but Rivers sticks around. If Jennings goes down and Rivers bolts...well be in trouble.

I dont know if he will be able to take the job from AJ next year but the competition they will have will only make both better...the qb position is looking good for quite a while
