Supposedly Boutte has settled on LSU.

Too late.

Latest on Lawson? Going to take the grey shirt or go elsewhere?

I think they said he was going to delay signing.

Actually, I am a Cajun fan and a ULL grad. I don't use the "UL" name in here because I don't want the conversation going way off the tracks into a "school name" thread like it always does. But yes, I do use "UL" any other time.

And I do hear Boutte is signing with LSU, while Lawson is undecided at the moment just like everyone else.

At the end of the day, the New Orleans Bowl is your ultimate goal. Need I say more?

Unless we somehow miraculously make it to a BCS bowl, the New Orleans bowl is an easy money maker for the school. We bring in over 30k fans, and outside of the BCS bowl teams one of a few who actually make a profit off of the whole gig. Perception wise, it's not the greatest bowl, but for a team who hasn't been to a bowl in over 40 years, going there the past two isn't a bad start.

And for those who are talking about "the big boys," just remember how ecstatic the LSU fan base was when they made it to the Independence Bowl back in 1995 after six straight losing seasons. Like I said, you gotta start somewhere.

They lost money to where they had to share the revenue of ticket sales with the Sun Belt Conference, but they still came out with a profit.

Don't have to. The state auditor's office issues reports.

Thanks for your continued ignorance.
