No joking.....(and there will still be some that think I am)....but, one of the better kicker/punters in HS in his day was....Big Ben McDonald.....Honest.
Wasn't much call for field goals but it was amazing to watch him punt the stuffin out of a football in HS!

our place kicker in high school was mike scifres (pro bowl punter for the chargers)...he could kick it from 60 yds out but was a little erratic at times. funny thing was, he split punting duties in high school with a guy named edward reed.

rodi jabori, kicker from east st john a few years back at ulm now i believe. missed a 63 yarder by hitting the upright about 10 feet above crossbar. east st john would let him kick instead of punting

JJ, you remember in 1993 playing Carencro and Richey was kicking from 55-60 yards out in warmups? It was pretty intimidating. He broke his toe on the opening kickoff because of how cold it was. Thank goodness, cause he barely missed a 50+ in the game.

Once again showing my age but Roy Hurd way back for I think Covington High. Was an old straight-on type kicker. Could kick the crap out of the ball.
Got to LSU and developed what eventually became known as the Wade Richey/Ronnie Lewis Disease, although not as bad. If my old decrepit memory serves me right, two years in a row he missed kicks that would have tied or beat Bama.
He did have one stellar game at Fla. where he kicked 3 or 4 fg.'s in a big Tiger victory, a 37-3 arse-whipping.
