Attrition is standard at every school, hence the 25/85 rule. If there was no attrition, it would be 25/100. So there's a certain amount of expected attrition at every program due to grades, discipline, or general unhappiness.

The problem with Alabama right now is that they only had 8 to 11 schoolies available depending on who you believe, and they signed 26 kids. That's well beyond the expected attrition. He's going to have to force attrition. And there's one way he's going to do that: he's going to screw over the players recruited by Shula because he can. they aren't his guys and he believes he doesn't owe them anything. So the guys who will take the hit are the Shula recruits. Right or wrong, he's going to take a massive dump on the kids who were there before he got there.
