I know it's not LSU, but it's SEC.
Arkansas received a commit from Austin Beck, a 6-8 285 lbs. OT from Nowata, Oklahoma.

You're not gonna like the responses... prepare to be blasted.

I might understand if he was a highly touted guy from another state, but a player who has 3 other offers (Baylor, Illinois, Missouri)? Come on.

In fairness, he's not an SEC OL. He's a high school one. And without even seeing him, I'm sure at 6'8" he could go from 285 to 300+ pretty easy.
This begs the question, though--how tall is too tall? I know there are lots of 6'5"/6'6" LTs these days, but is that the max? At some point, the lack of leverage has to be too much to overcome.

The #1 player in the nation was a O-lineman and he was 6'8

6'8 is typically the cutoff as weird as that sounds. You almost never see anyone taller than 6'8 playing football.

Jonathan Ogden and Jared Gaither are the most well known NFL players at 6'9". I think 6'9" is as tall as it gets currently in the NFL. I know SDSU has a 6'10" player.

Isn't Bryant McKinnie 6'9" also? You don't see many people that are 6'8" or taller very often, especially people that have the size or athletic ability to play football. I work with a guy that's 6'9" 275 lbs, he's one of the most unathletic people I've ever met. He didn't even play a sport in high school.

Then it goes on the SEC Rant (keep in mind you need to ask permission from Bama fans first). This board is for players being recruited by LSU.

please, if you don't mind...could you move this to a board with SEC in the title? GTFO...

I wasn't bragging at all dummies
I was just bringing you information, trying to be a helpful fan of another team. I realize he's not that good, just trying to be informative.

Yet, but your commit is not. Congrats from stealing this kid from the Oklahoma School of Gaspumping.

No one thought you were dipshit. It's just that every post has its board, and yours is on the wrong one.

By the way, it's going to be Arkansas or OU for Brey Cook.
