So if Hester only committed to UT because LSU had not yet offer, why did he get a Texas tattoo and have to get it covered up once he came to lsu?

Not saying one side or another, but maybe he got the tattoo bc that's where he thought Hefner playing football? Doesn't necessarily mean he was a lifelong Texas fan. He could have just been thinking that Texas was the next step of his life. Only Jacob really knows.

It has been like this since the early 2000's with the press conferences and tv coverage. I remember when all players from a school all had one day to meet in the library and announce their choice with a hat and had their families with them. No tv or bullshite like that. Just local newspaper coverage.

It's definitely the media's fault. Kids today are a different breed but they would do all of this if they weren't encouraged and given so much exposure
