A great example, Justin Vincent supposedly ran a 4.43 at one of theses camps. At the combine, he's credited for running a 4.65.
Truth be told, there's a big difference between 4.6 and 4.8 speed...at the pro level.
That being said, I don't care what 40 time he runs out of high school, the kid can play. He's a great college prospect with the potential to develop into a great pro prospect.
I hope to see him wearing the purple and gold.
That would be a terrible example. Jv ran a sub 4.4 out of hs. He was one of the fastest backs in la, the other guy went to Aub. Jv then had knee surgery and blew up in weight. You absolutely made the worst argument. Let's compare a player 30lbs lighter before a knee surgery to one who could barely keep his weight after he destroyed his knee.

Vincent was fast, he was on the Barbe 4x100 team that destroyed the state record his senior year.

Darrell will play the role that Hilliard has played the last three years. He'll be even better though because he's a more physical back. Forty times don't mean a lot when you're playing that role in the offense. You have to think of him as more of a fullback anyway because he'll probably be our best blocking back as soon as he hits campus. A guy like that is extremely valuable to an offense in more ways than one.
