Do you remember when A&M hired Jackie Sherrill away from Pitt. National title winner! He didn't quiet live up to expectations there and they fired him.

The only thing correct in this statement is A&M hiring Jackie Sherrill. Johnny Majors was the coach for Pitt when they won the national title. Sherrill won three straight SWC titles from 85-87 and then resigned in 88 when A&M was put on NCAA probation.

Agree 100%. Nobody really gives a shite about A&M, but I’ll go a little further and say, I believe Jimbo will be another great failure and disappointment at A&M. Just convienced he’s not a head coach yet. Will depend on how many really good assistants he can pull
