It’s not the same thing at all. Texas loses guys from Texas all the time, and they have historically lost the guys exactly like Simmons. Typically they give up and go after someone else, but maybe they’re doing things differently now.
On the other hand when LSU wants someone, they typically do NOT lose them. Doesn’t really matter who commits where and we have a ton of examples of how when Louisiana boys don’t come here, their careers are usually failures elsewhere. Especially the well known recruits or highly ranked ones.
Imagine had Chase gone to Florida, that’s laughable. You think Chassion would have had the same success at Texas? I could go on and on. Shea simply said top Louisiana kids aren’t easy to get when LSU wants them. He pointed out Chase. It’s not over until it’s over. When his family comes to watch a game here will they feel more at home in BR or will they feel better elsewhere.

Ever walked the Texas campus? It's like a corporate megaplex. Has no life to it except the feeling that they think money compensates for no soul. It just doesn't have the vibe that the LSU campus has. Nowhere close.

You’re 100% right but also makes you realize it depends on what the players want.
Some kids do wanna be in that metropolis feel, while others want that college town vibe.
