I see a real clunker in there. No, it isn't Kent State. Noo, it isn't UAB. Nooo, it isn't Furman. Florida, yeah that's the one! Did you have a chance to say goodbye to Will?

I think we are recruiting him in the hopes of maybe getting a signature on signing day
Kind of like a Gage situation, where there are other signatures we probably want more, but we will continue to recruit as if they go elsewhere
Wow! doesnt make a kid feel wanted.

Well, every program does it. At least LSU doesn't dump people on NSD like a certain coach in Alabama did the year before last. Fortunately, one guy the RB took a Kentucky offer that same day,.

Turn away, or grey shirt offer?

Oh well, maybe that player can get better and then they won't have to worry about being a fallback option. Happens everywhere, get over it

I think he's talking about Pratt, who was turned away for other reasons.

offer revoked/grey shirt ids... All i know is it was on move in day when the kid found out.. ask DP.. it was on last week.

they never mentioned the reason.. it was brought up talking about paris' financial signing.. how it gives kids a little more security as well. DP brought up that kid as an example

pratt wasn't "turned away" per se. He was an early enrollee and already on campus when he got in trouble and was booted iirc.
maybe pat miller, the OL we couldn't take as an early enrollee because Gunner Keil was an early enrollee. Then gunner fricked us over and we lost both of them.

Its a business. Recruits burn college teams to go to better colleges all the time.

First, a couple of things about Patrick Miller. One as mentioned above, he was NOT a NSD guy. He was an early enrollee guy. Second, IF an LSU player had graduated like he said he was going to, LSU would have room for Miller in January. That is not the same as what I was talking about....NSD stiffs. LSU has NEVER done that to my knowledge.
Oh, and there was also the Elliot Porter deal but that was NOT on NSD either. And he was offered a greyshirt. 2 years ago, little Nicky did it to 2 players on NSD. Both players and coaches of their schools said they were told on that day not to fax in their LOI. One was the RB who went to Kentucky because he had an offer...the other guy I dont' know what happened to him. But both were on NSD and they were not early enrollees as Patrick Miller was going to be for LSU. IMO, you plan on being an early enrollee, you take your chances, because it depends on whether already scholarship players graduate mid-year or not due to the 85 total scholarship limit.
