5* OT David Sharpe to take an official visit to LSU

Georgia, Florida, and Clemson seem to have the inside track but it won't hurt for him to see LSU. Never know what can happen once a prospect sees the beautiful campus of Louisiana State University. It's a long shot but who knows.
The article states that he is looking for early playing time and the 3 programs mentioned above provides that.
The official date has not been set but we are one of the schools that will get one.

Not sure ...never hurts to try. Never know what a kid may see that may change his mind...

No one saw Clifton Garrett coming our way... it took one trip to Baton Rouge to change that...

According to the Georgia board, Sharpe is no longer a take for them. They said the coaching staff has concerns about his work ethic and he apparently wants to play basketball in college. Maybe we tell him he can tryout for the B-ball team and that'll sway him.

I was hoping he would come on an OV, this is good news. Chad Thomas is the other player I hope makes it in on an official.

Why yall doggin this kid? I bet if he came to LSU and was a LT all american yall would be on his nuts.
Oh yeah i just read an article on him and he said Clemson is now out of it and there are two schools he is "amped" about and LSU is one of them. Also, he said there are two coaches that he is beginning to be really close with and one of them is coach Stud. Get it how you live.

Sounds like Taylor Scamm made it to the Georgia board. Usually when a board says that, it means they dropped out of his favorites and they come up with an excuse to make it feel better.

“Clemson and us, we are not on the same page, and we are going to probably drop them,” Sharpe Sr. said. “Florida would like to know which program David is going to go to soon. My son just wants to play early, so everything is going to be based on that.”
In less than 10 days, Sharpe will take the ACT for the first time, and the plan is to schedule his official visits to Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU and Tennessee. Those five schools and nearby Florida are the schools still in the mix for the top uncommitted offensive tackle in the country.
Sharpe will be taking a closer look at the depth charts during his official visits, two of which he is especially amped about right now.
“I really want to go check out LSU,” Sharpe said. “I also really want to see how Florida State is like on an official.
At the moment, two depth charts look especially appealing to Sharpe.
“Georgia and Florida really need a left tackle,” Sharpe said.
There are two coaches that Sharpe says he feels comfortable enough to call at any time, one of which has just recently thrown his hand into the mix.
“I have grown really close to the offensive line coach at LSU (Greg Studrawa), as well as Coach Will Friend at Georgia,” Sharpe said.
