Justice Williams went to Monteverde too.
And lsu has historically done well at IMG too. Efton Reid, Days, Brandon Murray.
Honestly that whole winter-home retirement area has been good to lsu recently (Blakeny/ Emmitt Williams)

It is really more of the regional/state ties than HS ties.
Wade and Nickleberry had deep connections in Virginia/Beltway region (Murray - Baltimore, Reid - Richmond, Cam Thomas - Chesapeake, VA., James Bishop - Baltimore, Tyrell Ward - Washington DC)
Greg Heiar had deep Florida connections (Days and Williams). Bill Armstrong had strong Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, etc ties (Watford and Gaines)
With this staff McMahon has southeast ties. Same for Ronnie Hamilton. So it’s probably not all that surprising to see a guy like Givens (from Memphis) and someone like Jaylen Reed (Jackson, MS) sign. Cody Toppert had Northeast and California ties, so it will be interesting to see how LSU looks to replace that.
The strategy is to start with Louisiana/LSU connections and expand outwards to the area where the coaches have good recruiting ties. So far they have pulled Miller (LSU ties) and Givens (Tennessee)
