I enjoy recruiting as much as the next guy(maybe just a little less).
It seems like some of you guys would rather a great recruiting class than on field results.

Well, if Miles would have taken care of business on the field, none of this would be an issue, right?

Yes it does just look at LSU 2011. We literally out-talented Arkansas and Georgia in the 2nd half of those games.
yes we will lose recruits this year. But the guy replacing Miles, whoever it is, is going to real in 7th-8th ranked recruiting classes or less in his first year.

Exactly! We need to get a better head man to lead us. Look at what McElwain and Harbaugh did in year one. All you heard all over the place is that it would take time for both.
Well except for the loss on the road by 7 to LSU starting with their backup QB, Florida is a 1 loss team and will probably finish with an 11-3 record after going 7-6 last year (6-6 and 4-4 in league play). This team had maybe 1 starting OL coming back and has a major depth issue there, a mediocre RB and 2 true freshman backup RBs, and no WR worth a flip outside of Demarcus Robinson. Will Grier had just started to come into his own and if you projected his stats over 14 games (they head to the conference championship) his stats as a redshirt freshman in a brand new offensive system would read 376 att 65.8% 2809 yards (7.5 ypa) 23 TDs 7 ints, 84 car 271 yards (3.22 ypc) 5 TDs.
I would kill to have nearly 3100 total yards and 28 total TDs from just the QB UNIT at LSU. We can never get production like this from anybody who is young. Atoine Callaway (their leading WR) is a 3 star true freshman! McElwain picked him up very late in the process. He has 27 rec for 541 yards and 4 TDs in addition to 14.91 on PR with a TD,
Michigan is likely 11-2 or 10-3 and that's 1 year after being 5-7. When Michigan was playing dominant defense and Jake Rudock looked like crap, Harbaugh didn't stop throwing it because he knew he would need balance. Now after the run game has gone to complete shite, Rudock is the answer for the offense. He started off the year in his 1st 5 games, completing 60% of his passes for over 950 yards 5 TDs and 6 ints at 6.4 ypa. He has now completing 68.4% of his passes for 1173 yards (9.0 ypa) 11 TDs 3 ints his past 4 games. Harbaugh is making chicken salad out of damn near chicken shite especially with that OL and those terrible RBs.
Jake Rudock projects to finish the season 385 att (64.4%) 2926 yards (7.6 ypa) 19 TDs 10 ints, 59 car 171 yards (2.9 ypc) 5 TDs . Averaging 2.5 pass TDs over the last 4 games, he could end up with 21 TDs. Again I would love for our QB UNIT to put up 3100 total yards and 26 total TDs for the year.
I said all that to say, doesn't matter about recruiting right now. We need to get the philosophy change in. These are two crappy situations where the right coach came in immediately and changed years of horrible QB play from the last regime, didn't get many recruits that they weren't already expected to go there because of the school, and still succeeded despite that. Franks likely signs with Florida, and they pick up Nate Craig-Meyers and maybe 1-2 more top recruits (they can't take many more). Michigan already has a good class that should get better with Rashaun Gary and Kareem Walker along with others.

Change takes sacrifice. We won't win any championships with these players with the current staff. It's time to pull the band aid and get it over with. If they are committed to Les and not LSU, oh well.

Very good point. These guys, many of them are not hard commits.
What ppl need to focus on is this kids who never commit to LSI in the first place, many maybe because of LM.
Why didn't we have a chance with CamRob, etc.
And whats the point of having all these 4 and 5 stars when the gameplan is a disaster?
The botton line is we csn continue to have top 10 classes and 8-4 seasons till LM is using a walker. If you're OK with that that you keep LM .
