Online I am not a guy who thinks we should get rid of the #7 and #18 tradition. I do think that we should be far more selective in awarding those numbers. Or at least wait until after the season starts that way the staff has as much data as possible to award those numbers.

Yeah I agree we should keep the numbers, but they’ve messed up with them recently. Giles was not even at the level of LSU. Clark and Curry have been rough. Guys like Foster Moreau really embodied the leadership and level of play for #18. Then for #7, we need to restrict it to elite playmakers. Chase was actually a good choice but, oh well. We should not have given it to Jacoby.

Nice haul at safety with this kid and Khari Gee, Matthew Langlois, and Sage Ryan. These kids along with Jordan Toles should make safety a strength that it hasn't been since Jamal Adams left.
