Ok. But he certainly wouldn't say he wasn't confident. He would use different terminology. I haven't read the Shea article, but read hundreds from when he was at scout. If what you say is true, it would be more like "to hard to read" or " to close to call". Or even put LSU in a favorable position. He wouldn't set himself up to put egg on his face.
I am so glad that I don't care. Personally I think he's bama bound.

So Shea has talked to LSU people and not Hootie himself (yet). That's pretty telling coming right after a visit and that type game. Not definitive, but unless Hootie is intentionally clouding the waters it's a hint.

I see Hootie's recruitment different than a LC or CRob situation for a single reason... I think until here recently, or even currently, he was truly undecided. LC and CRob knew long before announcing where they were going and saw leading LSU on as part of the fun of being a Gump.

Shea said in the same thread that his mom wasn't very engaged in the visit, but also said the bama visit was a "disconnect" so who knows
