The only guys I can find from Jonesboro, GA are 2013 DB's Taurean Ferguson & Cameron Sutton.
Posted on 7/31/12 at 3:23 am to Tigerfanindawgland
Is there anyway yo know if Cameron has been down on an unofficial vist yet? I heard his mom is from Baton Rouge. He is supposed to be a senior at Jonesboro high this year.

Added 2014 QB Will Greer and his video to page one.
Kid threw for 3,785 yards & 49 touchdowns and rushed for 925 yards and 11 touchdowns his sophomore year.

Dads can be so formal.
ETA:
LSU is starting to make a dent in North Carolina. With Lewis Neal already in the fold and Greg Gilmore coming after his mom gives LSU her blessings, we will have garnered two of the top 25 players from the state. CarolinaPreps.com
There are already five 2014 guys from NC on page one that have expressed interest in LSU too. I believe all of them other than this QB are linemen.

Grier has offers from the Gators and Volunteers as well as North Carolina, Wake Forest and East Carolina, where his father and high school coach, Chad Grier, once played quarterback. And there’s serious interest, father and son say, from Nebraska, Texas, UCLA, Alabama and Louisiana State.

Grier is stronger than he was a year ago and looks thicker, thanks to a five-day-a-week weight-training and conditioning program. He had a 9-foot, 8-inch broad jump at Florida in June. Last week, he had a 10-1 at Tennessee. He ran a laser-timed 4.7-second 40-yard dash and threw a ball nearly 70 yards at Tennessee, too.

Rivals has this Free article about receivers that helped themselves with great performances at camps this summer. A couple are 2014 guys that are interested in LSU.
quote:
Speedy Noil, New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr (2014): His real name is Devante, but the nickname "Speedy" certainly fits. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound New Orleans native is explosively fast, and he showcased that speed at the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge and several college camps this summer. Noil is the cousin of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace and has shown the potential to reach similarly high levels of the game.
quote:
Artavis Scott, Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake (2014): The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Scott is both a wide receiver and defensive back prospect; he played both at several camp stops this summer, including Ohio State's Friday Night Lights Camp last week. Scott was also a standout at Florida State's camp and the IMG 7-on-7 National Championships in July, and he has solidified his place among the prospects to watch from the Sunshine State in 2014.

Added 2015 WR/Safety Jaason Lewis and his freshman video to page two. Kid is already 6'2" and 222 lbs.
Here's a free Michael Clark Scout article about him.
Sounds like he really likes VaTech (they've already offered) but he is interested and so is LSU.
I have added a few more 2015 guys on page two.

Lewis also has an early offer from Old Dominion. However, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound standout has recently gotten mail from Florida State, LSU, Alabama, and UCLA
quote:
“I went to Virginia Tech camp a few weeks ago and they offered,” said Lewis. “Coach (Bryan) Stinespring offered me. It felt good to get it – I’ve always wanted that one (scholarship offer). They are going to let me run track and play football.”

I love him and can't believe he hasn't been offered by everyone in the country. He might have more offers if he wasn't supposed to be a strong Texas lean. Their fans and writers say he is their top priority for 2014. If he keeps developing as a passer, he would be perfect for Les Miles "WANTS" in a QB.
Rivals profile
130 completions in 223 attempts (58.3%) for 2,286 yards with 28 TD's and 10 INT's/136 rushes for 650 yards and 5 TD's
I think those are great stats for a sophomore QB in what some say was the state's most difficult district (District 7 5A).
I believe he split snaps with a senior last year. He could have rushed for much more yardage but has the desire to be a great passer. He plays for a coach who has successfully developed QB's before (his son, JW Walsh. His passing and rushing numbers went way up in this second year at QB. LSU offered him too.

Check out this inteview with Deondre Clark on ESPN.
Doesn't sound like he's at all excited about OU. I hope it's because he's all LSU.
Why did they even post that terrible interview?
