Does anybody know that status on Blanchard's offer? I saw he was at Junior Day on Saturday but didn't see much else on him. Just wondering what the word was on him and how many RB's will be taking in 2013.

He's gonna have to show some durability and return from the injury to get a serious look by LSU

I'm not sure who we take at RB. The best RBs in the state are probably both at JC (just off the top of my head). So I doubt Blanchard gets an offer. I can't see us taking more than one RB this year.

Might not even take a RB this year and just put all the eggs in the Fournette basket. Tell him he is the only RB we really wanted so much so we didn't sign a RB in 2013 just so we could get him for 2014. That would be pretty appealing. Plus, Fournette would be walking into an ideal situation as a freshman with Ware, Ford and Blue all either to the draft or graduated by then. Hilliard would also either be to the draft or a senior.

There is no way in hell LSU wants to get only 1 RB in the next 2 recruiting classes. We didnt' even get a true running back in this 2012 class.
Talk about a horrendously poor plan that would be.
We need at least 1 this year and then probably 2-3 next year.

I just can't see us taking one running back in 2013/2014. Ware will be gone at the end of this year which leaves Hilliard, Ford, McGee, Blue and Hill in 2013. Ford & Blue then leave as a Srs. Depending on if Hilliard leaves early, that leaves us with two, maybe three RBs and a freshman. Don't see us letting that happen.

Reading isn't your best strong suit. I never said we would ONLY take Fournette for 2014, just that we wouldn't take one in 2013 to make it even more appealing for him in 2014, especially with who we'd be losing in upper classmen. A lot more appealing to him he doesn't have to compete against 3-4 FR/SO for several years. Second off we took Jeremy Hill for 2012 who is every bit a "true RB" as they come.

Wouldn't it be more attractive to take a 2013 RB instead of risking that Fournette pulls a Bourque if we take 2 RBs in 2014? Ware & Hilliard show you can play early here.

Logic isn't your strongest suit, apparently.

As long as the 2013 RB is better than the guy we would get along with Fournette in 2014 but as of right now it doesn't look like we're in on a highly rated guy.

Yes, very illogical to say Jeremy Hill isn't a "True RB" when that's exactly what he played all through high school and what we recruited him for here.

From what i hear he seems to be hitting the rehab pretty hard. My neighbor know the guys who is training him and he said he has his weight up to 205 and has just started running again with the same intensity he had his so year. I'm anxious to see what he does this year in camp.

Is Lamar Louis gonna be a RB or LB for us? We don't NEED to grab 2nd tier rbs in this class if we got Louis and hill

I think Louis will be a RB. Maybe follow a similar path to Ridley.
