I never saw this game. Chris Jackson was a PG on the West and Stanley Roberts was a C on the East. Also, Alonzo Mourning, Christian Laettner (who was referred to as "Lettner" by the announcers), Shawn Kemp and others. Oh, what could have been if Roberts had qualified his FR year and stayed after his SO year.

Didn't know Litterial Green was from the coast in Mississippi, that would have been a nasty backcourt if he came to LSU with Chris Jackson

Green and Jackson played in the same district in high school. So did Dale Brown, another guard of the same era, who played juco ball before playing in a final four with Petino and Kentucky. Brown was, I think, SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 92 and 93. All three of those guys went at it in high school.

I still have that game on VHS.

CJ, Stanely Roberts, Alonzo Mourning, Billy Owens all have their moments, but the play of the game is when Shawn Kemp took it coast to coast for a slam dunk that sent Vitale into an orgasm.

The crazy thing about it is, the very next year, Shaq does the exact same thing after blocking a shot & goes coast-to-coast for a slam too. Vitale couldn't stop talking about Shaq the whole game.

4 of the 5 all sec freshman team that year were from Mississippi:

Chris Jackson
Litterial Green
Vernel singleton
Tony Watts (msu)

Also that year from the state was Clarence Weathersooon at USM

That's probably my favorite one. 2004 is probably second for me. 2000 is up there as well. 1995 was a good one. And even though the teams suck, I like 1999 personally because I was a huge fan of Jonathan Bender, who still holds the points record in the game
