He’d take up a spot that could be counted backwards via an early enrollee, thus making the class maximum one fewer

Correct. Don't think anyone really knows how the numbers are seen working out by the staff. Seems a drop or 2 are gonna happen if we land who we want left on the board. I'm just gonna enjoy the ride and let the staff earn those big bucks as to how it all fits.

This class feels a little different than past ones where there were a couple of commits who LSU boards suspected would eventually get dropped, probably because given the tailwinds heading into this class, the LSU coaching staff probably suspected that they'd get a high percentage of who they wanted so that they didn't need to take marginal commitments early

I talked to some of my people who are pretty solid yesterday and no one knew who today’s likely commitment was supposed to be. Matter of fact they came to me asking what I knew because they normally lurk here. I know we feel really good about Leigh, foreman, and smith who are the highlights of this class. Sage isn’t as solid as a lot here think, but my personal prediction is that we do end up signing him.

VolTiger is one of the most insightful posters on here yet when he’s wrong everyone throws rocks at him. Yesterday it was blasphemy if one said Sage was on the fence.

He's good when he's good. No different than any other insider in that respect. He brings value and conversation to this board which is all I care about. We can bicker back and forth on things we don't agree on but I'm still gonna give credit where it's due. He was nailing the Chase thing and that lends credit to his legitimacy in my eyes. I don't give a shite where he gets the info, if I don't have it and it's legit, I appreciate it no matter the means in which I got it. That's what we are here for, info.
