I agree, we are in much need of defensive lineman that can impact football games. Ishamel Sopsher can be a guy for us. So we need depth and this may how we obtain it.

The only issue I see is if Rodney thinks he should be getting PT when he shouldn't be and is a negative influence on Ish and the team. If he doesn't sulk and works hard and is a positive influence on the team, whether on the field or on the sideline, and Ish doesn't pan out, well you had to take the chance. But offering a scholly to a guy who isn't good enough to otherwise receive a scholly, but who nevertheless believes he should be on the field starting every game and bitches about it and poisons the well, even if Ish is an All-American, I don't think it's worth it unless Rodney can be sequestered away from the team somehow. It's really going to depend on the staff's read on Rodney's attitude, imo.
