Do these ever come on sale?

You may be able to get a deal at the end of season, but will be subject to availability.

Sales are usually in March and April.

Thanks for the info. I plan on going to look at the Hustler models today to see how they fit. If I got one now 6 months of the warranty will be used up while the mower sits in my garage. I read negative responses from tall 6' men that fill cramped in the Dash models.

Has anyone used these for chopping up and bagging leaves?

Also are the mulching blades worth it? I have my push mower on mulch all the time.

Hills are not ideal for zero turns, as they rotate and power with the same axle. Going downhill is tricky and you can easily make ruts with a zero turn on a slope like that.

I’d get a garden tractor with a serviceable back end. If a zero turn is a must, find one with a rollover protection bar.

Been waiting for 2 mos on a 61" tiger cat. Needing it for cutting 2-3 acres. Crazy times.

I have a little over an acre. I went with a Exmark Quest series, it was affordable and cuts very well. A year old and no issues.

I also looked at the smaller Scag. I went with a 48 inch cut and am glad I did.

People will tell you about the welded deck, I dont see a worry about any of that on residential mowers, but maybe I dont know something.

Hustler, Scag, Exmark, Snapper all make great choices that are affordable.

I went mower looking this morning at Home Depot (Cub Cadet & John Deere), Lowes (Ariens) and Bobcat (Hustler).

I ended up buying a Hustler Dash XD 42". This was cheaper than the 42" mowers at Home Depot and Lowes. Plus the Bobcat dealer services every thing they sale. They also will loan me a trailer to get it home. I went with the 42" instead of the 34" mainly for the 2" wider rear tires. It appears that the Hustler Dash XD were shorter in length also which is a plus for where I store it at.

I ordered a John Deere X580 in June. It just now got to my local dealer from another dealer in Mississippi. I think they are delivering it Tuesday.

Yes, but they are quality too. The Kawasaki engine is one of the best engines you can buy.
