Shopping for windows for a new construction home and I have gotten quite a few prices all over the map. I don’t mind spending the money to get good quality but don’t want to overpay for the same quality.

Any recommendations?

I looked hard at Windsor (often pushed as the “better” brand), but ended up going with the Ply Gem 1500 Brickmould in Low-E2+SC / Argon with Warm Edge Plus.

The glass package on the Ply Gem is actually higher performing than the basic/builder-grade Windsor vinyl, and I was able to get them for less money. Felt like the smarter value play for the money, especially in our climate where solar heat gain matters.

If by chance you are interested in Windsor or Ply Gem, I have quotes for both that I am willing to share.
