I have a small project and want to grab about 400 sq. ft. of sod. When would y’all say is a good time to lay it, where would you source it from, and what would you expect the cost to be?

I usually buy it at Woerner Turf on Airline Hwy. A pallet is 450 sq ft, so you’ll need a pallet. I bought a pallet of centipede in Nov and it was $175. Quality Sod is another option within a mile of Woener. Much more expensive if you buy individual pieces. If fact it I only needed a 1/2 pallet, but buying the entire pallet was much cheaper.

If you can wait, I’d suggest Feb/March, but you lay it now if you can’t wait.

It doesn't grow until temperatures are above 75 degrees.
