It does look like a tree/shrub sprouting from seed/roots.
If from seed, mowing will likely kill it.
If from roots, might need a treatment with stump killer or tree control product.

Looks just like the ones popping up in my yard up to 30 / 40 ft away from the persimmon tree. Sadly, the root stock is a mundane native seedling and the main tree consisting of several several named varieties doesn't look nearly as healthy as the root suckers.
Is this your first summer at the house? Are these new after several years at your place? If root suckers, they are awfully well distributed for the first time showing up

That looks like persimmon trees to me as well. The only thing that gives me pause is that it it is not individual trees. Looks like some type of seed pods are sprouting. Unless some animal is eating persimmons and shitting out a pile of seeds.
Regardless, I would just keep them mowed.

That’s what it is. Likely Robins or Starlings.
