Can anyone recommend a brand of hydraulic fluid for use in a Kubota tractor.
Of course, the owners manual recommends the Kubota brand. I would like to find a less expensive and more available brand. If this was your machine, would you stick with the Kubota brand or will any generic hydraulic fluid suffice? TIA

All manufacturers have a spec
Number for their fluid. As long as the aftermarket stuff matches that spec number . You’re good. My deere spec is JD20C

Find the spec for your tractor. No need to stick with the Kubota brand.

I believe O’Reilly’s carries various specs of hydraulic fluid in 5 gal buckets.

Is it still under warranty? If so you better use the spec they say or they will void the warranty. I speak from experience

I have a kubota as well and am looking to change my hydraulic fluid. I know the steering brakes run in the same fluid and have been told by a couple of different folks that if you use anything other than kubota fluid, the brake clutches will not work correctly. Kubota fluid is so damn expensive, I have been meaning to get on some Kubota message boards to see if that is true.
