I pulled off the siding of my garage and found mud trails and the plywood had been eaten.

Saw some winged ant looking termites.

Has anyone used a do it yourself product for this situation?

TIA

Bengal makes a concentrated bottle to mix in a pump. Works well.

Taurus SC to trench treat the perimeter outside and Boracare for termites to treat the untreated wood studs and other wood in there.

Taurus SC is the generic for Termidor (same stuff all the companies use) and it kills the ENTIRE colony underground within 90 days. The Boracare for termites soaks into and treats the entire piece of untreated wood and will kill any termite that eats it. The termite throws up the wood, other termites eat it, and die too. That lasts forever and the Taurus lasts approximately 10 years inside the soil.

You could hire a pest control company to do the same stuff except the Boracare but it will be very expensive. I just went through a major termite problem and already had terminix. The structure on my property that was affected had a wooden deck attached to it so they didn’t cover the damage but they did come out and retreat the shite out of it for me. I just tore up the deck and treated the soil where the deck was with Taurus SC just for peace of mind. Once I pour the slab there, Terminix will come back out, redraw my property, and cover that structure for future damage. Or so they say.

Termites are stressful. I wish you luck and peace.

Do you like fried turkey?

Fry a frozen turkey in the garage make sure you fill the pot full of oil.
