Do the pre-emergent now - mid-February - this is a late winter application to target spring weed seeds that begin germinating at soil temperatures of 55 F +. Re-apply pre-emergent in Fall, mid- to late- September, to target winter weed seeds that germinate when soil temperatures cool to below 70 F.

It’s better to err on the side of applying pre-emergent a little too early than too late.

Spray weeds with post-emergent herbicide that “escape” pre-emergent herbicide year around as needed. Just remember stop using atrazine on the Bermudagrass when it begins to green up.
