Looking to build a very small camp on an acre. Wanting a small metal sided studio maybe 1500sqft or maybe a 1 bedroom. We would use it as a vacation home. Any idea what local est. costs are in SWLA?

You think 30X50 is small?
It's probably going to cost more than you think.

for dirt, slab, walls & roof budget 75/sf. If you come in under, great. 1500sf isn’t big enough to really get under that SF cost.
5/dirt
20/slab
50/building

Woah, we really talking $100K+ for a steel building on a slab these days? Not arguing as I have no clue, but have been talking myself into building a shop and figured on maybe half that at the high end.

depends on the size…smaller is less money but more per SF. On the building itself you should plan for 50/sf furnished and erected and like I said if you can do better then great. Many factors affect that price including eave height, wind load, bypass or flush girts, wall and roof panel gauge, penetrations and openings, access to site, lay down area, etc etc
know what you want, what you can do without, and shop around.

Galvanized frame is going to be your cheapest option. Red iron is ideal but it’ll cost ya.

Check out Alan’s metal buildings, or someone like that. Keep in mind the price for the building may be relatively cheap. The concrete will be the same as the building. Then the utilities will be damn near the same price as well. And still have not built out the interior.
You can save a ton doing it yourself, but then again, you should pay a professional to do his job….because he can do it better/faster than you.
Edit: there are tons of YT videos about total costs of this, or hidden costs, or what I would do differently.
