Self installed irrigation: costs

We installed our own irrigation system for flower beds and the time has come to check on it and change flow where we eliminated some beds.
We had bought supplies from a seed and greenhouse supplier who had sold to a larger company. Home Depot used to carry some of the equipment.
I ordered direct from Dripworks and was pleased with the prices and servic.
My husband decided he needed another hundred feet of tubing. Went ot HD. They had been selling it for $100 per 100 feet but marked it down to $32 because it was discontinued. He came home and gave me a really weird look and asked how many feet had I ordered and how much did I pay? I pulled out my catalog and order and it was $19 per 100 feet without any applied discount. He wandered away muttering "No wonder HD isn't selling it anymore".
They even have improved on the goof plugs with each plug fitting two different sized holes.

I think you might be mistaken or I'm misunderstanding what kind of tubing you are talking about. I've recently purchased 1/4" and 1/2" irrigation tubing from home depot and both of them were cheaper than $32 for 100FT.

Thank you for the correction. He went to the HD site and it was more in line with the number you stated. Why he was told a higher number? I don't know.
If we do it again, I'll go to dripworks and get 500 feet, just to avoid driving into town twenty some miles away
