Woke up pump not on usually turns on 7am timer. I through breaker pump turned on first second then off. Trued few times nothing. Waited few minutes then through breaker again ,it came on few seconds then off. Last week I woke up pump off I through breaker pump came on. Been on until today. Any ideas what’s going on with pool pump.

May be the capacitor on the motor.

Each day, when you turn on your pool pump, the pool pump run capacitor is at play. When yours starts to go faulty, it can affect the pool pump and even prevent it from turning on or starting. What are some signs the pool pump capacitor is in bad shape?
Here’s how to tell if the pool pump start (or run) capacitor has gone bad:
Humming pump but no startup
The pump is intermittently starting
The impeller is fine but the pump is not working
The pump shaft and bearings are fine but the pump is not working
The capacitor has bulges or smells
Noisy pump

Though it could be the pump capacitor I also wonder if might be the pool pump timer - loose wire, circuit board problem, etc. You have a mechanical timer or electronic timer? Also a possible loose wire at the pool pump circuit breaker?

Take the plastic cover off the back of the pump and spin the end of the shaft with the power on. If it fires up, it's your capacitor
