Ok guys went in yard today . Cut grass moths everywhere. Are moths good or bad in lawn. If bad how do I get rid of them?

likely sod webworms...just had a bad infestation myself
the moths themselves are harmless, but the larvae destroy grass, usually problematic in St Aug
I treated mine with LINK
other things I've heard that work are Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki (Btk) which is a natural/organic and The Anderson's Duocide

also, again assuming it's sod webworms, you need to treat ASAP...they can wipe out your yard in no time

What if they're in the backyard that is all weeds and I need them to all die? The St Augustine in the front yard did not have a single moth in it. How far can web worms travel?

The larvae aren't going to travel, they will stay wherever they are and munch the shite out of your st aug.
But the moths will have no problem laying eggs in your front yard.

I use this bit I don’t bother with moths. They’ll just cone back. I wait for the first sign of a chewed blade, then I nuke them.
