Is it good to feed or fertilize centipede lawn this time of the year? If not what is next step to keep healthy lawn.

I've been told not to fertilize. It's time for preemergent. Also with this dry spell I am deep watering three times a week.

Centipede should only be fed about twice a year with the last fertilizer being put down in August or September.

You can always use micronutrients and bio stimulants throughout fall and winter. And Potassium is good for winter as well (strengthens roots).

Also Humic DG or some kind of soil amendment product like it.

You’ve gotten the correct advice you need, but going forward, centipede requires little fertilizer compared to St Augustine & Bermudagrass. Fertilize once in the spring, usually in south LA around April 1 to 15, at 1/2 the rate recommended for St Augustine. A second application is optional - depends on how your grass looks, but mid-July should be the cut-off date for a second application.

Application rate would be 1/2 lb of nitrogen per 1000 sq ft of a fertilizer like 15-0-15 or 16-0-8. That would equate to about 3 lbs of fertilizer per 1000 sq ft. The fertlizer should have little or no phosphorus, P (middle number).
