Question about dishwashers

Are dishwashers made different depending on where they are sold? Without too much detail, it time for a replacement and my wife wants the same brand/model of what we have. We both know it will be somewhat different since this one was purchased 10yrs ago. My question is this, is dishwasher brand/model-X at a say Home Depot any different then that same one sitting at an appliance store? Silly question... yes, but just trying to get my other to understand that they should be the same.

Model number to Model number should be the same. I know shopping for Bosch and Kitchenaids this year, it was the same models everywhere. Showrooms, Best Buy, HD, Lowes, Kitchenaid.com

Model number to model number
If the model number is different then it’s different. I have noticed for washing machines that i could only find a particular model number at Sears for example.
No one else had that exact model number.
For what it’s worth, I’ve had luck with
Abt appliances and Goedekers online having good prices

Check if the model numbers are the same. You can go to Lowe's and buy a riding mower for much cheaper than a place that specializes in mowers, and think you got a better deal. When it breaks, you find out it has plastic parts, and "the same one" you would have paid more for at the dealer uses metal parts.

German dishwashers require JetDry. It’s worth owning one, but they won’t dry without it.

OP send me an email with your model number. I sell appliances and have been able to beat the big box store’s prices majority of the the time. Shawn@dts-direct.com
