If you can wait until October or November you're going to get an offseason deal, as others have said it depends on your location and seer etc.

Unit was old, 2004, I am located in downtown Ponchatoula, electric ac/ heat, but yes both inside and outside units are having to be replaced. AC guys is a family friend so hoping for a fair deal.

Once you get quotes and get the work done, post a review. I live in the area and will be needing mine redone in the next year or two.
