type that screws into a bulb fixture.
my dad gave me a couple because he said was not compatible with his wi-fi or something.
anyone have any experience with these? worth messing with or no?

Probably the same problem as the guy in the smart plug thread. You need to disable 5 GHz band during set up so that they connect to the 2.4 GHz band.
