Paint on Marble Tile

Would appreciate some help here;
My idiot contractor had his paint crew come through after our bathroom renovation and they sat a can of paint down direct on the marble and it left a white paint ring on the marble tile.
The marble is honed.
What should I use to remove the paint that will not effect the finish of the tile?
Thanks in advance.

Latex or oil based paint?
If thick enough can you use a razor blade?

You should use your idiot contractor to repair that mess. I hope you didn't pay him in full yet.

Latex.
contractor is gone... trying to clean up a few things. His idea of clean and our idea of clean is not the same.

if latex, then a very wet paper towel sitting on it for about a half hour, then use a razor blade and it should come right off.

Windex or any ammonia cleaner would work as well.

Plastic scrub brush should work well too, yeah?
