Anyone else having this issue? The damn thing just won’t fill up. It’s fine when it’s not 100 degrees outside

2 months out of the year, hopefully you find a solution to it.
No experience with outdoor ice makers but it seems literally everybody with cooling expectations like an AC unit is just struggling with 100+ temps for a month straight

I would imagine the ice maker is not well insulated enough to account for the 100+ deg temps. The ice is probably melting too fast to fill up.

No way at all it can compete. That little layer of insulation inside the top part isn't going to hack it

The condenser coil is not fully condensing the freon into a liquid.

A high speed fan aimed at the condenser area would help move air

The issue I’m having with mine is the water lines running through the attic causes the water temp to be too hot going into the unit. Not sure if insulating my water lines would help

Run the water to a coil of plastic tubing. Sink the tubing in a bucket or tub of water to cool it off before it enters the ice machine. Worked on a job site I ran where the potable water was run on the ground for 800 feet. We used a large trash can though.

Is there any way put insulation around the outside of ice maker to help keep it colder. Use either fiberglass or spray foam.

You're kind of fricked if the supply lines are running through your 140 degree attic and preheating the supply water.
