Opinions on EGO's stick edger?

I'm in the market for a stick edger and thought about getting an Echo PE-225 sgain, which I had an edger or two back. However, the EGO stick edger has caught my eye. It's more expensive than the Echo gas edger, but it comes with a power head, so I can add attachments in the future if I want to go that route. What's holding me back are power concerns. Some reviewers write that the blade needs to be spinning before engaging the grass/soil for the most efficient edging. I was wondering if any of you have used this EGO edger, especially with St Augustine grass, and what your thoughts are.

I would only go Ego if I went all in. Edger, trimmer and blower. If I needed a push mower, I’d get all 4 tomorrow.
Since you only need an edger, I’d probably stick with the Echo.
Unless, you plan on moving all to battery in a few years.
Long story short, I like the color blue.

Can't comment on the edger, but I have the EGo mower and blower. Nothing but positives things to say about both. I've had them for about three years now. Still going strong.
I have a Stihl Kombi system for my edger, trimmer, and brush cutter so no reason to move over to EGo for that stuff yet. If I was just starting out though? More than likely I'd have gone pure EGo.
