I found this out when I bought a lawnmower a few years ago. I bought it at a local, privately owned dealer. A week later I was at Lowe's and saw what was advertised as the same exact mower. It was the same motor and cut width, but that's where the similarities ended. The deck was thinner gauge steel, the front and back tires were smaller, the rear end was significantly different/smaller, and the seat was shitty. I'm sure there were other differences when you looked closer. The price? Higher than what I paid for the one I bought.
