Last summer I purchased new home with eight large flower beds. They were once very nice but, after years of neglect need to be completely overhauled. I have a crew scheduled for March to do the work. The issue is that the wife and I would like some help on redesigning the beds. Located in SWLA, can anyone recommend someone who does flowerbed design? TIA

literally any competent landscaper can design a basic bed layout for you. But this is something where there may not be any wrong answers unless you are trying to build formal gardens or something

Accent shrubs or small trees with low shrubs, flowers, ground cover. Look at some pictures online and decide what you want. When I make a new bed I always choose the accent planting first and work my way out from there.

self seeding annuals and/or perennial flowers make the best impact with low maintenance. I links to ring new beds with giant liriope for the classic southern garden look. Heavy mulch before you plant will keep the weeds down and help with soil quality and water retention
