You can operate a 4,000 sq. ft home & 3 A/C units with a 26KW. You can load manage the units and prioritize which ones to cycle off automatically before your generator overloads. You would not need to manually choose which ones you want to operate. This is assuming you have a gas water heater and heat.

6400sq.. feet. Pool, koi pond. 3 Trane heat pump units. Generac 36kw unit. Natural gas. Never a problem. Exercises 30” once a week.

My parents run all 3 of their HVAC in a similar square footage with a Honeywell 24kW. They have 5 ton, 3 ton, and 2.5 tons units all with hard start kits on them. If they had soft starters I doubt the generator would even feel them on startup.

Agreed here - anything that uses resistive heating is a very large electrical load. That will load up the generator quickly.

All they do is generators and the price was cheaper
