If I want to test an area and give it 3 weeks or so to see results how long will the batch I mixed stay effective?

Or is not even a good idea to store it in the sprayer?

I don’t know the actual answer but I feel like 3 weeks is well within that window.

The manufacturer says 24 hours, but I don’t think you’d harm anything saving to use in 3 weeks.

If I were you, I’d just throw it out and make a new solution in 3 weeks. It’s really not that expensive and if your solution degrades in that 3 week period then it may not be effective at all against your target weed that survived the first treatment.

You're right it might just be best to throw it out and start over, but as an aside, I'm not testing to go back over the same area. I want to test it before broadcasting it everywhere.

After reading up and watching videos I'm hesitant to use this stuff. I don't want to nuke my whole yard.

I've seen large oak trees go down from it and I also have some new flowerbeds growing.

daytime temps are rising. If you don't do it now then wait until the fall. Unless you fighting Virginia Button weed. That has to be treated in the spring

I hear ya man, I was nervous as well using herbicides for the first time. If your lawn is healthy and not under stress (drought, fungus, insects/grubs, scalped) you should be fine applying at the labeled rate.

If I remember correctly, the label is in acres. If I had to bet, those who nuked their yard miscalculated or didn’t realize it was in acres.

You shouldn’t spray MSM in heat over 85 degrees. Sometimes you can’t help it, so I’ll spray right before dark so it can dry overnight.

If you’re worried about nearby flowers, don’t spray when it’s windy and hold a cardboard box as a barrier to stop overspray from getting into your beds.

Yes I've been concerned about that too.

Wind and timing has pushed me back.

Is MSM the one to not apply above 85? If so, what to use on hot days?
