Leaves turning brown on Cherry Laurels

About a week ago, we planted some cherry laurels in the front garden. They’ve had plenty of water and sun however some of the leaves are turning brown. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Pics to follow once i figure out how to post pics from my phone.

Probably just transplant shock - normal. Don’t over compensate with excessive watering - that will lead to death quicker than anything.
One good soaking weekly, with a hose, in the absence of rain is sufficient through fall. General rule of thumb - 1 inch of water per week through summer/early fall.

Ok, thanks! I was watering them a lot thinking that is what was needed. I’ll cut back watering and see if that helps.
I appreciate the reply and tips.

You only need to water once a week. Soak the root ball. That’s it.
