I am looking to change insurers on a rental property in Baton Rouge and I need to have a Lead Certificate to place the insurance policy.

Anyone else had to do this and can share their experience?

The only thing I can offer here is that when we did our remodel of an 80 year old house, part of the loan stipulation said that since there was definitely lead paint, we would need to hire a contractor that had a certified lead guy.

It seems like something you could reach out to a reputable painter or contractor to have come test for you. Don’t know if that’s helpful.

Try Glenn Ray/RTC 225.755.1920. I’m sure he can help you.

I worked for these guys about 20 years ago. Didn't do residential back then but looks like they are now.

AES

They don't say anything about a certificate so found out what their report will contain and if your new insurer will accept it.
